Hot enough for ya? Rainy enough for ya? People in Miami and South Florida know what I’m talking about. It’s been brutal lately.

Fun times at Casa Wutzler on Fourth of July, they are the best hosts, great friends and they put on epic fireworks displays!

Friday was Fourth of July at Casa Wutzler with pool time, amazing fireworks, ribs and pork, potato and pasta salad and delicious homemade cookies for dessert.

View from our table at Gramps Getaway on Key Biscayne.

View from South Pointe Park Pier. Being there brought back memories of when I used to go to the beach there as a kid.

Saturday we went to Gramps Getaway on Key Biscayne then South Pointe Park on Miami Beach. Had some great food at Gramps and gelato on South Beach. Elizabeth was in town so it was the four of us. The views at this place are spectacular and the music was great too and the scenery was equally gorgeous on Miami Beach at South Pointe Park. Lots of time by the water, just the way I like it during the sweltering summer days!

Beer and coconut shrimp at our neighborhood spot, Evio’s Pizza & Grill.

Sunday Nick, Vance and I had lunch at Evio’s Pizza & Grill then just ran errands. We planned on going to the park but it was too hot! The crispy coconut shrimp and cold beer at Evio’s were just right that day.

And that’s it, really didn’t get out much this week although you know I have lots of recommendations for you.

Visit PAMM in downtown for their free Second Saturdays event, click here to read about that and other special events and free days there. Plus, the views are spectacular from the terrace!

There’s always something fun going on at The Underline, the linear park under the Metrorail. Click here to check out what’s coming up there. Tomorrow and every Saturday you can do yoga or and their Farmer’s Market which is on the second and fourth Saturday.

Go on an Art Walk, there are plenty to choose from around Miami, there’s probably one near you. Click here to see which neighborhoods are on the list.

Discover a new bike trail in Miami, there may be more than you think. Click here to see where they are and maybe try a new one!

Take in a show at the Miami Beach Bandshell, there are several free ones. Click here to read my Biscayne Times article and see what they have planned for the remainder of July.

And as is tradition, here’s a parting shot. You know it’s going to be something outdoors and IT IS! A photo of the first little avocado growing on the backyard tree.

That’s all for this week but I’ll be back next Friday with more fun stuff to report! Until then… TOODLES.
