A bit brain fried but all good

It’s been a few tough weeks writing wise. Not only were the assignments complex but the last and first week of the year are always pretty quiet with lots of people out of town so tough to gather photos and information.

But I got back into it this week and completed one assignment and am almost done with another. There’s one more complicated one to go but I’m proud of myself. I’m looking forward to sharing them with you once they’re published.

Here’s one that I did manage to complete about several of Miami’s premier arts organizations and the programs they’re producing thanks to generous grant money they received. Click here to read the article.

I wanted to share some other arts news too, about several groups whose programming I love. There’s Oolite Arts on Miami Beach where they present exhibitions and film screenings of movies made by local filmmakers. Click on the link above to see what they’ve got coming up.

There’s also Fountainhead Studios where they host resident artists, a monthly open house and on Jan. 20 will be hosting the first edition of their 2024 Artists Open at Collective 62 featuring 14 female artists. Collective 62 is a wonderful, inviting space, I encourage you to visit and meet and chat with this group of women artists.

There was some sad news this week, David Herrera one of the teachers and coaches at Nick’s program at Sandra DeLucca Development Center left the program. He’s starting a new venture called Keto D Meal Prep Delivery Service. When I found out about his new venture I told him I’d let my readers know about it. Click the link above to see what these meals and his commitment to fitness have done for him.

A couple of other fun things to report. Team Wutzler & Gulliksen won second place at trivia this Wednesday. That comes with a $30 bar tab for next week. We really killed it this week and had tons of laughs too!

And I had a great lunch at one of my go to spots Latin Cafe 2000 where I enjoyed their chicken frita tacos and guiso de maiz. They’ve got several locations around Miami, I went to the one on NW 7 St. and 42 Ave. (LeJeune Road) I recommend giving them a try.

That’s all for this week, I’ll see you right back here next Friday. Have a great weekend!
